Important Conference Information

Entrance to the Cultural Education Center (CEC)

Please print the email you received on 8/6/13 to gain entrance to the conference. If you did not receive this email, please email csbiroli@mail.nysed.gov.All participants should enter the CEC via the West /Uphill entrance on Madison Ave. Registration begins at 8:00 AM and will be taking place in the Clark Auditorium Lobby.

Reimbursement Information

Reimbursement materials can be obtained on Wednesday morning at the registration table located on the 4th Floor Terrace. At 1:00 PM reimbursement requests can be submitted at the registration booth.

Uncommon Approaches to the Common Core is an annual conference aimed at classroom teachers, school librarians, public librarians, academic librarians, public historians, and representatives from museums, archives, public television, NYS historic sites, performing arts and other cultural organizations.

The purpose is to develop understanding of the Common Core with the goal to create common skills, a common base of information and common language so that conference participants will be able to effectively support teachers, students (including English-language learners and children with special needs), and parents.
